Description

For your consideration is this fabulous Art Deco perfume bottle, intricately detailed facet-cut glass with acid mat relief panels in a clear glass, manufactured by Curt Schlevogt, who established his own glass company in 1928 and later became - together with Heinrich Hoffman - the main producer of art crystal: delicate crystal figures, small bottles and vases that were created using moulds. This bottle a classic Art Deco, from Bohemia, circa 1930 and in great condition.
Bio
Curt's son, Henry Günther Schlevogt, who also was Hoffman´s son-in-law, took over his father's firm in 1934 and soon introduced the first collection of pressed glass, which he called "Ingrid" after his 4-year-old daughter, and which was displayed at the spring fair in Leipzig in 1934.
World War II and the nationalisation of Germany in 1945 signalled the end of Schlevogt's business.
