Description
For your consideration is this totally original and very charming table lamp, Art Deco and dating to the mid 20's early 1930's. Green enamel painted metal, which is a combination of chrome for the circular shade surround and possibly iron base as the lamp itself is exceptionally heavy. This charming lamp features a female tennis player standing in the fashion of the day dress slip , bob haircut and holding her tennis racket behind her. Behind her is a silk screen shade behind which is a Bakelite lamp holder. The base has a Stamped Rd of No.776872. Diameter of shade 30cm. Full height of lamp 33cm. These lamps very rarely present themselves to market so we were' delighted to have found this gem. The lamp is very large and extremely heavy, cats, kids and dogs will be hard pushed to knock this beauty over!
