Description
For your consideration is this superbly stylish 1930's Art Deco Partners desk. The base wood is Mahogany which is veneered in Bombay Walnut that has a warm reddish tone with light figuring throughout. This desk can sit centre stage, it's identical both sides in looks. Both sides the most glorious large statement sized original chrome handles and locks which we know Art Deco enthusiasts will appreciate. All exterior metalware to include the handles have been stripped down and re-chromed so they are all in excellent condition with no unsightly tarnishing, pitting or discolouration.One side of the desk has faux doors. The attention to detail is superb from the stepped skyscraper feet to the inlaid Aztec design which surrounds the tooled leather insert, to the gloriously designed handles. The leather is in superb condition having been fully restored. Not only does this desk look amazing but it's ideal as a functioning large work space, being generous on both the work top space area and also the internal storage. In showroom condition and fully restored. All doors and drawers open and close effortlessly. This piece comes apart in three sections for ease of transport.
