An outstanding bird's-eye maple blonde English double bed with attached cabinet and shelving with matching luscious grained foot board. The edges of the bed are dark walnut feather banded which gives a great contrast to the blonde veneers. Also featuring original chrome deco handle on the bedside cabinet and original chrome readers lamp on the headboard. A huge stepped skyscraper shaped centre piece makes up the headboard. The whole bed is totally authentic to the period and has had only one previous owner, purchased from new in 1931. This fabulous bed has been through our workshops where it's been lovingly and professionally restored to its full deco glory and to the highest standards. Imagine this gorgeous bed enhancing your bedroom setting! One side of the bed has a bedside cabinet with one interior shelf, the door opens with ease. On the opposite side are various sized open shelves. The footboard is raised on three stepped plinth in a darker walnut again this really accentuates the whole beds shape and is echoed through out.For UK mainland customers the bed comes with a custom made slatted base and offered with free two man delivery.
These beds really don't come onto the market often. A bed that can't be mistaken for any other era will be much appreciated by Art Deco fans and those who appreciate quality and style.
